Thank you for considering applying for a grant from the Mountain Lakes Educational Foundation.  The Foundation accepts applications for grants that support enrichment opportunities for the Mountain Lakes educational community.

Through the years, MLEF has provided grants that support many disciplines of learning and aspects of student life.  These areas include, but are not limited to, technology, science, the arts, health & safety and recreation.

Who Can Apply

Everyone in the community, including all residents, students, administrative personnel, faculty and staff are invited to apply.

Application Deadlines

October 15, January 15, April 15, July 15

To apply for a grant, you need to write a proposal that tells the MLEF the purpose of your grant, your role in the project, who it will benefit, and how much you are requesting.  You should include all the points in the outline on the bottom of this page.

When Will I Hear Back?

Decisions will be made approximately 30 days after the application deadline.

Grant Proposal Outline

Please limit your grant requeset to three pages and use the following outline:

Purpose of the Grant

This section should explain the purpose of your grant, describe the equipment, project or activity.  Please include the following information:

Description

Describe your background and qualifications along with how you are involved with the project.

Goals and Objectives

  • A statement of the primary purpose and the need or problem that you seek to address.
  • The population that you plan to serve and how this population will benefit from the project.
  • Strategies that you will emply to implement your project.
  • Anticipated length of project.
  • What will your project accomplish?

Funding Request

  • Explain the details of all anticipated expenditures including expenses and necessary equipment.
  • List all sources of income for the project, actual and prospetive, with amounts.

Your Expected Results

  • Describe your criteria for success and how you will measure the effectiveness of the project.
  • Describe the results you expect to achieve.

smartboard2Our Smartboard campaign was highly successful.  Thanks to your support, we placed Smartboards in ten classrooms through Wildwood,  Briarcliff and MLHS.

playgroundWildwood children have been enjoying their wonderful playground for many years, thanks to the generousity of MLEF supporters.  For health, the MLEF has provided grants for defribulators and blood pressure monitors.
